About Provider

The Day Home provider, Kala, has 11 years of experience in running Bud2Blossom Day Home. She was running it in Evanston and just moved to Panorama Hills NW. There were more than 60 children who had blossomed out of her day home to various elementary schools in Calgary. 

Kala has a Master of Arts (English Lit.), Master of Philosophy (English Litt.),  Bachelor of Education (English Litt.,), and TESL–Teaching English as a Second Language. She worked with the Saskatchewan School Board and Freshmen English Instructor and Business Communication Instructor at Lloydminster Community College, Lloydminster. Teaching is her forte, and she is very passionate about teaching kids of various ages.

Being a Toastmaster for over two decades, Kala teaches young minds communication skills too. She plans a pre-school curriculum tailor made for the kids at her day home.

Kala provides a very Safe Environment, a nurturing safe space for kids. The tailored activities are very engaging, with fun and age-appropriate arts, games, and outdoor play activities. She provides healthy, organic, vegetarian meals (with lots of protein) and snacks. She sends regular updates on a child’s day (eat, nap, milestone) through videos, photos, and communication books. She sticks to a predictable routine schedule that is easy for the kids to follow. She always keeps an eye on the curious kittens, which means the kiddos.
